Title: System Administrator

We are looking for a talented, diligent system administrator to maintain and administer our company’s Information Technology Ecosystem. The System Administrator’s responsibilities include troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring that all computing operations run with optimal performance and security.

To be successful as a System Administrator, you should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth understanding of information systems and computing solutions. The best candidate will also be a team player, willing to handle all support requests with courtesy and professionalism.

The goal of the System Administrator is to leverage IT Technologies to ensure that our environment runs smoothly and efficiently for internal and external customers and clients.

•Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required
•3-5 years of database, network administration, and/or system administration experience
•Familiarization with Microsoft 365, SharePoint and Active Directory
•Working knowledge of Cloud and Hybrid Environment Architecture (AWS, Azure)
•Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
•Familiarity with Python, Perl and other similar languages
•Experience with scripting and automation tools
•A proven track record of leveraging current and emerging technologies to develop and implement IT strategy and plans
•Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
•Excellent critical thinking and problem solving
•Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies

The Software Developer is expected to:
•Configure and maintain the networked computer system, including hardware, system software, and applications.
•Monitor system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely.
•Identify and troubleshoot hardware and software issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
•Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new and/or upgrades to the IT infrastructure
•Ensure data and cyber security through access controls and firewalls
•Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
•Manage capacity, storage planning, and database performance
•Research and recommend new approaches to improve the networked computer system.
•Providing technical support when requested.
•Document any process which employees need to follow to successfully work within our computing environment.
