KVA is seeking Field Technicians/Travelers for immediate opportunities.

KVA specializes in Relay Panels and the Construction and Maintenance of transmission and distribution substations. From the Relay Panels to Control Enclosures to Substation Services, we provide the people, apparatus and expertise.

Field Technician/Travelers

Experience needed:

• Willing to travel and drive 10 or more hours a day
• Travel and stay on the road for up to 2 weeks at a time
• Understanding of Blueprints
• Electrical experience
• Setting panels
• Wiring multiple size cables and wires
• Installing Conduits
• Knowledge of 120/240VAC 277/480VAC
• Cable tray
• Self-motivated
• Works well with others
• Ability to keep calm in stressful situations
• Proper use of hand tools, PPE, ladder safety
• Able to follow safety rules and recognize hazards
• Able to show up on time and reliable transportation
• Drug Screening
• Clean background
• Ability to get a medical Card for DOT (CDL)

Preferred but not required:

• Knowledge of operating man lift, Skid steer, Excavator
• OSHA 10 or 30
• First aid CPR
• Substation experience
• Knowledge Battery DC power up to 136VDC
• Control wiring
• Knowledge of communication
• CAT 5
• Coax
• Fiber
• CDL
• Knowledge of gutters and metal roofs re-installation

Full-Time

Pay: $20 – $25 / per hour DOE
