Job description
· Operator

o Clocks in 5 minutes before scheduled shift and is ready to start their job at the top of the hour at their assigned press.

o Runs a single machine or multiple machines.

o Weighs proper number of parts in each box or bag.

o Alerts process tech if there is a quality defect

§ If process tech is busy on another line escalate to quality

o Places each finished bag in a returnable container.

§ Each box goes in its designated area.

o Grind gates that are for your assigned presses for the day.

o Clean up your area before the next shift starts.

§ Leave better than you found it.

o Escalates any downtime on a machine that is over 2 hours to management.

o Communicate with operators from previous shift to receive important job information

o Maintain efficiency to the approved standard

o Inspect and pack product in accordance with the job pack

o Inspect the parts and sort by means of visual inspections to insure defect free

o Maintain the work area and equipment by cleaning, organizing, and keeping it in orderly condition

o Provide accurate scrap counts at the end of the shift

o Simultaneous use of hand tools and parts

o Communicate with Supervisors and process techs when there are issues

1st and 2nd shifts available
