Large Press Operator – 1st shift position.
Press Operators run plastic molding machines and fixtures. Operators’ trim parts with various hand tools such as knives and scrapers as well as trim fixtures, grind excess flash from parts, pack parts in boxes and fill out production/scrap paperwork.
Standard plastic process manufacturing setting. Participate in the manufacturing of a diverse array of critical components supporting customers in Medical, RV, Agricultural, Marine, Pet Toys, Transportation and more. This will involve handling of hot parts and materials. Safety is very important to us. Therefore, operators must wear appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, gloves, arm guards and hearing protection.

Read process sheet to understand what is expected for each production run.

Able to operate blow molding machinery as assigned.

Trims excess material from molding product and trims parts using various hand tools such as knives and scrapers as well as trim fixtures as instructed by process sheets.

Regrinds excess material and unsatisfactory pieces for reuse using grinding machine.

Weighs finished pieces as instructed by process sheet.

Assembles/finishes product utilizing secondary fixtures and machinery.

Packs boxes of finished parts per process sheet instruction.

Counts production, tags all boxes with operator ID tag and fills out production paperwork accurately.

Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

No prior experience or training needed.

Pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Holds a valid state issued identification.

Move finished boxes weighing 50-60 lbs to pallets. May have to lift boxes overhead.

Move small and large molded parts up to (2.5’ x 5’) and weighing up to 25lbs from press to cooling area/boxes/finishing

Be willing to work overtime as needed, sometimes with minimum notice (including some weekends and holidays) to cover responsibilities based on the needs of the business.

Consistently stand while operating machinery, trimming and packing parts.

Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl.

Must be able to perform repetitive motions as reaching, grasping, bending, lifting, stretching, walking up and down stairs and turning.
